Accounting Specialist
Connect Search is partnering with a growing healthcare services organization to identify a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting payroll operations and managing the accounts payable process for multiple locations across several states. This position will be 100% onsite in the Beaumont, Texas area.

Duties:
Payroll Administration
- Process accurate and timely bi-weekly multi-state payroll.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll regulations.
- Audit timesheets, payroll changes, deductions, and employee records for accuracy.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
- Process payroll adjustments, deductions, refunds, and related transactions.
- Support payroll reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
Accounts Payable & Accounting Support
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor, payroll, and financial records.
- Assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and reporting.
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial and administrative support.
- Help improve accounting and payroll processes while maintaining strong internal controls.
Collaboration & Customer Service
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and vendors.
- Provide outstanding customer service and timely issue resolution.
- Support training and education related to payroll and financial processes.
- Build strong relationships across departments and locations.
Qualifications
Required
- 3-5 years of payroll and accounting experience.
- Experience processing full-cycle, multi-state payroll.
- Background in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and employment laws.
- Experience utilizing payroll, HRIS, and/or accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
