We are partnering with an established company in the South Houston area seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on accounts payable experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and timely payment.

• Assist with matching invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issues.

• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.

• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment inquiries.

• Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and outstanding balances.

• Support month-end closing activities and other accounting-related tasks as needed.

• Help maintain efficient and organized accounts payable processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounting Specialist, Accounting Coordinator, or similar accounting support role.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and invoice management.

• Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

• Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional approach.
