Audit Manager – Public Accounting

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join the team. In this role, you will manage and oversee financial statement audits, compliance audits, reviews, compilations, and special projects. You will lead engagement teams, build strong client relationships, and ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial statement audits, compliance audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Oversee engagement teams, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and training.
• Maintain direct communication with clients to address needs and ensure timely engagement completion.
• Prepare and review financial statements, compliance reports, and client communications.
• Identify and implement new accounting and auditing standards.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on team oversight and development.
• Evaluate performance of assurance team members and foster professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in performing external client audits in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS (GAS experience is a plus).
• Ability to report out of an office in Brookfield WI.
