We are flexible on title and level. In addition to Senior Accountants, we are open to hands-on Accounting Managers, Assistant Controllers, or Controllers who are comfortable performing detailed accounting work.

Please note: The responsibilities below represent the broader scope of the accounting function. Contract resources are not expected to have experience with every responsibility listed. The immediate priority is identifying a strong corporate accounting professional who can contribute across several core areas and provide meaningful support to the existing team.

  • Prepare and post journal entries and accruals

  • Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations

  • Research and resolve reconciling items and accounting discrepancies

  • Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis

  • Review P&L and balance sheet activity for accuracy and reasonableness

  • Provide variance analysis and research unusual financial activity

  • Support SG&A and other corporate accounting activities

  • Assist with fixed asset and capital-related accounting as needed

  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audit requests

  • Maintain accurate and well-supported accounting records

  • Partner with accounting, finance, and other departments to research and resolve financial issues

  • Assist with additional accounting projects and backlog as needed

Qualifications

Candidates with experience in several of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Corporate or general ledger accounting

  • Month-end close

  • Journal entries and accruals

  • Balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations

  • Financial statement preparation and analysis

  • Working knowledge of GAAP

  • ERP/accounting systems

  • Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookups, SUMIF/SUMIFS, or similar functions

  • Financial and variance analysis

  • Researching and resolving accounting discrepancies

  • Working independently with limited day-to-day direction

Experience within a manufacturing environment or with legacy/mainframe ERP systems is beneficial but not required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys getting into the details and solving problems. This individual should be comfortable stepping into a fast-paced accounting environment, learning existing processes quickly, prioritizing work, and completing assignments with limited oversight.

Candidates who have progressed into Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller-level positions are encouraged to apply if they remain comfortable performing hands-on close, journal entry, reconciliation, and general ledger work.
