Title: Sr Buyer 
Location: Milwaukee, WI area
Compensation: $45/hr – $55/hr ($95K–$110K per year)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr Buyer to support a fast-paced manufacturing organization during a critical period of new product development and launch activity. This role will provide interim purchasing support while partnering with cross-functional teams to manage sourcing activities, supplier relationships, cost initiatives, and program execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support purchasing activities from product development through production launch
• Manage sourcing efforts including RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and supplier selection
• Coordinate supplier readiness activities such as tooling, prototypes, PPAP, samples, and launch milestones
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Program teams
• Support supplier discussions involving cost, timing, capacity, quality, and commercial requirements
• Track project status, risks, supplier deliverables, and open actions
• Review supplier quotes, support cost analysis, and identify savings opportunities
• Assist with BOM cost tracking, pricing activities, and supplier issue resolution

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience (5+ years preferred)
• Manufacturing purchasing experience with supplier management responsibilities
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams
• ERP system experience required
