Job Summary:

Our client located in between Bee Cave and Spicewood is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. 

Key Responsibilities:

• The Accounting Specialist with handle:
  • Accounts Payables
  • Accounts Receivables
  • Debits/credits (double entry)
  • Accurately record and update financial transactions in the accounting system
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Process invoices, managing payments to vendors, and collecting payments from clients
  • Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in accounting handling AP and AR functions. 
• Double-entry principles, debits and credits
• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and practices
• Intermediate Excel preferred
• Sage 300 a plus
