Payroll Specialist

Job Type: Contract (6+ Months)

Pay Rate: $30-$35/hour DOE

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a manufacturing facility supporting weekly payroll for approximately 265 hourly employees. This position offers a stable long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for hourly employees
• Review and correct employee timecards and missed punches
• Enter production incentive and piece-rate earnings
• Maintain payroll records and documentation
• Process union payroll reporting and deductions
• Respond to employee payroll questions
• Audit payroll information for accuracy
• Utilize payroll software and Excel to ensure timely payroll processing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience preferred
• Experience with payroll systems (ADP preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer service mindset
• Manufacturing or union payroll experience is a plus
