Accounts Receivable Manager
Location: Midland, TX

Compensation: $80,000-120,000

Position Overview

Connect Search is partnering with an established organization seeking an experienced Billing & Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee billing, AR, and electronic invoicing operations.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, can effectively manage an established team, and brings a proactive approach to improving processes and departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Billing, Accounts Receivable, and EDI functions.
• Manage, mentor, and support an established team while maintaining accountability and meeting deadlines.
• Oversee high-volume invoicing, payment tracking, reconciliations, collections, and AR aging.
• Partner with sales, operations, and accounting teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely invoicing.
• Manage electronic invoicing platforms and customer billing portals.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and strengthen reporting.
• Support an upcoming accounting and billing software upgrade.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience, preferably overseeing billing and AR teams.
• Strong background in high-volume billing, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.
• Experience managing tenured employees and driving departmental accountability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with OpenInvoice, GEP SMART, or similar EDI platforms preferred.
• Oilfield services, industrial services, or distribution industry experience preferred.
• Previous software implementation or system transition experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
