Senior Labor Relations Consultant (Onsite – La Crosse, WI)

Contract | Traveler | Temp-to-Hire Options Available
Pay: $45 – $55/hour

We are seeking a Senior Labor Relations Consultant to support a high-impact engagement focused on union strategy, contract negotiations, and employee relations within a complex healthcare environment.


Assignment Details

  • Location: La Crosse, WI (100% onsite)
  • Duration: 13-week contract (extension or temp-to-hire potential)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Hours: 40/week (flexibility required based on business needs)
  • Weekends/Holidays: As needed
  • Orientation: 8 hours (unbillable)
  • Billing Cycle: Monday–Sunday

Key Responsibilities

Labor Relations Strategy

  • Develop and implement labor relations strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Partner with executive and operational leaders to drive workforce initiatives

Labor Contract Negotiations

  • Serve as lead negotiator for collective bargaining agreements
  • Define negotiation strategies and lead discussions with union representatives

Grievance Management

  • Interpret labor contracts and advise leadership on compliance
  • Investigate and resolve formal and informal grievances

Employee Relations & Leadership Support

  • Promote a fair and equitable work environment
  • Educate leaders on labor processes and operational best practices
  • Support unionized departments including:
    • Food Service
    • Environmental Services (EVS)
    • Laundry
    • Logistics
    • CNAs

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 5–7+ years of HR, labor relations, or business partner experience
  • Direct union experience required, including contract negotiations
  • Strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
