A manufacturing client in the Milwaukee area is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity to provide coverage during a maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant or someone between permanent positions.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze financial statements and explain variances
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Generate recurring financial and sales reports
• Perform cash flow analysis and support working capital initiatives
• Review expense reports and accounts payable transactions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Filters, Charts)
• Large ERP system experience required
• Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required
